More Snow

It is still snowing. Here is the last set of pictures for today.

Zack just got home from the hospital. He had to dig the car out of chest deep snow in the parking lot. He said the roads crews have not been able to keep up with the snowfall. Good thing we got the SUV with AWD. He said the snow was half way up the door most of the way home and finding the road was impossible. I'm glad he made it safely.

Here's the status of our patio - Braden's playhouse is completely covered now. The snow drift is level with the handle on our back door.

The snow is waist deep in the driveway. Zack actually thought about putting his skis on and going up the hill behind our house. Silly!

Zack dug a potty path for Chloe. Can you imagine what this must all look like when you're as little as she is?

Tomorrow morning will be interesting. I think this is supposed to keep up until mid-morning Sunday.

Still Snowing...

It's noon now and the snow is still falling. I should go out with a tape measure to see how much has accumulated.

Braden and I went outside for a little while. I shoveled the driveway - probably a big waste of time, but I figure it's easier to shovel 12 inches twice than 2 feet all at once. Braden was having fun until his glove fell off and his hand got cold.

Here are some pictures...

The back patio

Didn't he hear the news warning people to stay off the roads?

Running from Chloe

The snow is up to his shoulders in some places!

It's really fluffy and easy to play in.

Close Up

This is when his glove fell off and he got mad!

Warming up with Sissy next to the fire (or bire as Braden calls it).

The snow is getting deeper!

Entertaining a toddler - crayons, anyone?

Last time it snowed...

Braden enjoyed playing in the snow during our last storm. We used the laundry basket as a makeshift sled. I'm not sure who was a bigger kid - Zack or Braden! Our neighbors also happened to be outside, so Braden and Lauren played together.

This is just a random picture - we turned around one evening and Braden was hanging out in the kitchen cabinet!

Winter Storm

The storm hit at about 9pm last night, and it has been snowing for the past twelve hours. We are actually under a blizzard warning! Poor Zack had to shovel his way out to get to work this morning; he said the snow drift by the garage was up to his waist! If this keeps up, he may not be able to find his way home! Braden and I got up at about 6:30am and we just stood at the back door in awe. I think - no I know - that Chloe has the worst of it. It is now 9am and after three attempts, I finally had to force her to go potty...after shoveling clean a piece of grass for the third time. Here are some pictures of what it has done so far... I don't know how people in some places deal with this all winter long!

This is alot of snow drift, but wow - our back door is halfway covered!

Another picture of the backyard. As you can see, Chloe has nowhere to go!

This is my foot on the first step in the front of the house. The wind is blowing from behind the house, so this is not the worst of it. The steps are actually fairly well protected!

This is a picture of the back door. I took it from inside the house through the family room window.

Need I say more? Poor Chloe!

wish us LUCK

They are predicting 10-20 inches of snow for us tomorrow. Yikes...wish us luck! I'll post pictures if it happens...

Let It Snow

Texas beat us to it, but we got LOTS of snow. The TODAY show correspondent was even in Leesburg this morning talking about the weather. It started at about 8AM and did not stop until around 4PM.

Unfortnately, Braden slept through most of it. He sure picked an awful day to take a 4 hour nap! But we still did our best to get outside. After spending what seemed like forever gathering all of our gloves, hats, etc. and getting all bundled up, we finally got outside. Even Chloe joined us - although, she is the biggest priss of the bunch.

Braden likes the snow. He thought it was funny when I threw snowballs at him and he liked seeing the snow fall off our blue spruce tree. He ran around the whole time I was shoveling the driveway for Zack too. Looks like he's going to be dad's little snow buddy!

Figuring it out...

Tasting the snow...

Snow Angel?

Uh Oh...mom help, I lost my glove!

Braden and Mommy having fun!

We came inside and I was hanging up all of our wet things. I turned around and Braden was drying off Chloe's feet with the "Chloe" towel.

Santa Visit

Our homeowners association brought Santa to our clubhouse today. I took Braden over to meet the big guy, but he wasn't really having much of it. I couldn't get him within 10 feet of Santa for the first 45 minutes. Finally, I was able to get him close. But sitting in Santa's lap did not go well!

And THIS is what happened!

But it was nothing that a candy cane, time with his friend (Ryan), and some dancing couldn't fix!

Thanksgiving Day

It was just the three of us at Thanksgiving this year, so we had a nice, quiet day. We cooked a Turkey dinner and watched football. Braden didn't eat much Turkey, but he sure did like the cranberry sauce.

We got Braden a kid's table, so he will not be using his high chair much anymore. He likes it! But he can't figure out which chair he wants to use - he keeps going back and forth between the two.

Just having a little snack!

Mia

Mia came to visit and Braden had a great time.

Not Cooperating..

We were just trying to get ONE decent family picture, but this is the best we could do.

Native American Day

The kids learned about Native Americans at daycare this month. Here's Chief Running Bull...I really don't now how Lily got him to pose for a picture.
